Growing up on Germany’s northern coast and the Baltic Sea, I have sea salt in my veins and water sports in my heart. On surf trips through Europe and the USA, I came to know countries, people and cultures. That has shaped me. Surfing brings many things together for me and inspires me until today. Humbleness, persistence, passion: the sport influences my life, my ideas, and concepts - also my professional life. Is there anything better than surfing the perfect wave?

After my studies at the University of Applied Science Emden/Leer and at the Jade University of Applied Sciences Wilhelmshaven, where I studied Applied Computer Science and Business Informatics, 2006 was a defining year for me:

I didn’t just want to sit in the lineup for sports, but also to ride my own wave professionally. That’s why I founded my first IT company.

I have been an entrepreneur for more than 15 years now. Together with my business partner, I have founded three successful companies over the years. As a managing partner since 2012, I have been running the peak lab, a design and data-driven software company with 40 employees. With a sense of aesthetics and driven by technological developments, we are developing the digital future.

My entrepreneurial drive is based on the following principle: If you want to promote good work, you have to create spaces that make this possible. Team spirit, respectful cooperation, constant exchange, and a creative working atmosphere are essential. Just as elementary: flat hierarchies, own design ideas, further training, and co-determination.

I believe in success through iteration, collaboration, communication, transparency, and sustainability. This applies not only to our team but also in cooperation with our customers. People are at the center of our ideas and products. We want to create and inspire added value. Together with our customers, we make complex processes simple and thus turn users into fans. Every day I deal intensively with the challenges of the IT world and society in times of digital change.

Current Focus - AI for all of us

As co-founder, managing partner, and visionary of the peak lab, I have a passion for e-mobility, data science and AI, deal with questions of progress and sustainability in the changing information and energy age, and am responsible for developing innovative ideas and projects.

I am the driving spirit behind the vision lab at the peak lab, an interdisciplinary unit that aims to improve the cross-linking of science, research, and IT—our goal: to generate products that offer real added value for users. The focus is mainly on sustainable energies, e-mobility, data science, blockchain, and AI.

Another project I initiated together with partners two years ago—and is very close to my heart—is CORE.

CORE is not only a co-working concept but also a strategy to revitalize the inner city and create a space for 'new work' ideas. This concept is particularly relevant for cities that do not have several million inhabitants, but still long for places that are innovative and think in new ways. 140 workplaces, curated shops, and restaurants in a loft-like atmosphere form the basis of CORE. It is an honor to work with such an ambitious team of architects, project managers, and visionaries to create a place that brings people and ideas together.

I foster my business network in Europe and the USA through travel, events, and activities in cities and areas like Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley.
